Entry Level PV Design & Installation 10-Day Solar Training Course
Facilitated by Ambassador Energy and Mission Career College
In this solar training course, veteran students learn how solar photovoltaic (PV) systems operate, as well as, basic system design and safety practices. The course covers basic electrical terminology, PV system components, solar fundamentals, sun path, basic system design, string sizing, site evaluation, shade analysis, system sizing, overcurrent protection basics, grounding basics, electrical and mechanical design considerations and OSHA safety standards.
The training includes a hands-on project whereby veteran students install a complete solar PV system in the classroom.
This an Interstate Renewable Energy Council [IREC] accredited course, which will prepare the veteran students for the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) Entry Level Exam which will be administered on the last day of class. For students seeking the NABCEP PV Installer Certification, this is an entry level course that would count toward the 18 hours of non-advanced PV training.

This live instruction, lesson reviews, multiple quizzes (over 200 practice questions). Completion of this course qualifies students to take the NABCEP Entry Level Exam. NABCEP Entry Level Exam administered on the last day of class at Ambassador Energy Training Center. Includes textbook and NABCEP Entry Level Exam Fee.
TVA Safety Net
If a veteran student does not pass the Entry Level Exam on the first try, he/she may audit the course a second time within one year, and re-test for just $200 (must bring original textbook)
