“This solar training program introduced to me by TVA gave me the confidence to pass the NABCEP EL Exam, opened doors of opportunity and pushed me to strive towards even higher goals in the solar industry!"
“I entered into active duty in 1978. After completing basic training at Lackland AFB, TX. I continued my training at Sheppard AFB, TX for MOS 361x0 Outside Wire and Antenna Maintenance Technician, where I was awarded Honor Graduate status. My initial assignment was Torrejon AFB, Spain, where I worked with mobile maintenance teams to service antenna systems and towers in the Azores, Portugal and sites throughout Spain, including the Islands of Majorca and Menorca. I performed a special duty clerk assignment for a number of years and then completed my Air Force active duty career in 1984 at Andrews Air Force Base, MD as a Staff Sergeant, once again in the communication field with a MOS of 36150.
I always had a keen interest in electronics , construction and the electrical trades. So, when the renewable energy industry really took off, I was immediately drawn to it. The TVA training program seriously helped kick the pursuit of my dreams to the next level. The opportunity to be immersed in a classroom environment with such excellent instruction, virtually assured my success.”
