Scott is a successful leader, senior executive and logistician with over twenty years of experience in a dynamic, demanding and fast paced industry - the U.S. Military.
Throughout his military career he effectively led and managed organizations of progressively larger scale and complexity (up to 1,100 employees). His strong operational focus and ability to lead and coordinate efforts across the business domain have resulted in a proven history of performance - one of quality outcomes and consistency in achieving organizational goals and objectives.
Scott's military experience and leadership skills provide The Veteran Asset the necessary tools to successfully train and place U.S. military veterans.
Steve is a visionary, an experienced building professional, and an accredited solar expert, who has turned his passion for America and the environment into co-founding The Veteran Asset.
Steve has succeeded in building one of the most robust resumes in the renewable energy industry. He is double-certified by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners [NABCEP], the "gold standard" within the solar industry. He carries NABCEP PV Installer and NABCEP PV Technical Sales certificates.
Adding to the relevancy of his experience are his previous engagements as a solar integrator, custom home builder, and Senior Vice President of Sales for a multi-billion dollar software firm.
Fulgham currently carries California licenses B (General Contractor), C10 Electrical and C46 (Solar/Renewable Energy). He is a notable leader and speaker in today's renewable energy arena.
Kelly brings her entrepreneurial and construction experience, philanthropic background, journalism degree, and unique solar photovoltaic skill set to The Veteran Asset.
Becoming involved in the solar industry in 2006, she cut her teeth on sales, marketing, and crafting franchise models for those entering the solar photovoltaic industry. The recipients of the franchise-style offering were contractors, whom Kelly helped train on all aspects of operating a solar sales and installation company.
In addition to her long career in the for-profit private sector, Kelly has held many leadership positions within a number of philanthropies. She brings the experience of both private enterprise and non-profit leadership to her role at TVA.
Kelly has a journalism degree from Southern Methodist University, has owned several business and is the daughter and granddaughter of U.S. military veterans.
Michelle McGovern Stewart | Marketing
Michelle Stewart is a leading authority on the single greatest force behind business and non-profit success or failure; shifting demography. Combining a mix of macroeconomics, marketing expertise and business strategy, Michelle works with a wide array of clients from global non-profits to local small businesses to help them stay in front of the most profitable and influential groups of consumers.
Michelle owns and operates Brass Tacks, a marketing consultancy that focuses on establishing effective branding, communications, marketing strategy and product development programs for both business and non-profit clients. The majority of the work is centered on her understanding of predictive demography and generational marketing. For both her business and her non-profit clients, she’s made the greatest bottom-line impact through an unflinching willingness to challenge traditional mass marketing activities in favor of generational segmentation and grassroots campaigns.
Beyond benefitting employers and clients alike, this non-traditional approach has served as the platform for many speaking engagements and been highlighted in both regional and national publications.
Michelle’s husband, Kile, was recently selected to serve as Fire Chief at March Air Reserve Base, which necessitated their move to the area from Colorado Springs. While they loved living in the Rockies, they’re now looking forward to taking motorcycle trips along the coast, enjoying the local music scene and readying their new home for the many friends and family members currently scheduling vacation trips to the Golden State.
Chris is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served in Southwest Asia during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. He holds an MBA in Business from the University of Redlands, Redlands California and lives in Southern California with his wife and three children.
Chris has over 15 years of sales, marketing and business development experience in several industries. He also has 10 years experience in manufacturing.
Chris started his career in solar energy in 2009 selling turnkey systems to residential and mid-size commercial properties. Since then, he has been involved in several large scale and utility scale solar projects throughout the United States.
Chris has extensive experience and knowledge in the areas of project development, project management and equipment procurement. Prior to his career in renewable energy, he was in pharmaceutical sales and marketing for nine years. For two of those years, Chris was the product manager for a very successful prescription drug released in the US in 2007 with a major pharmaceutical company.
Development & Strategic Partnerships
Charlie is a social entrepreneur, high-performance team builder, sales executive, expert connector, and thought leader in the veterans in cleantech space. He is the Vice President of Global Sales for Command and Control Solutions, Corp (‘CaCS’ is a federal and NYS certified service disabled veteran owned small business). CaCS is a full service consulting and solutions firm providing best-in-class technology products and solutions for cybersecurity, risk management, information & knowledge management, staffing, executive consulting, and disruptive marketing. Charlie brings a deep bench of tier 1 special operations talent to CaCS and seeks to drive value for CaCS clients while disrupting the post-service transition model for veterans by bringing top performers on to project engagements and coaching them to success and guiding a process of search and discovery for the next mission/passion for these servant leaders.
Prior to joining CaCS, Charlie held positions at IRON SWORD (SDVOSB), a construction management firm with strong military-influenced leadership solutions. Charlie’s led strategy, partnerships, and talent development for IRON SWORD (SDVOSB) and led the Construction & Energy Services Division of IRON SWORD. Charlie is a NABCEP PV Entry Level, participated in the NY Executive Clean Energy Leadership Program (NYEXCEL) at Skidmore, and the NYU Clean Start Program at NYC Accelerator for Clean and Renewable Energy (ACRE) at the Urban Future Lab, where he co-founded Op.Re--an energy service company specializing in aggregating tech solutions in the cleantech space. He built a high-performing and high-trust team of professionals and managed a portfolio of $20M+ federal construction projects at VA Medical Centers.
Charlie has over 15 years of startup, team building, and management experience. In uniform, Charlie began his career in the Corps of Engineers, during which time he distinguished himself in his unit by earning the “Engineer Soldier of the Year” award from the Army Engineer Association. He served as a commissioned officer and led teams in combat as a platoon leader in Iraq and a detachment commander in Afghanistan. He also served as the Aide-de-Camp to the Commanding General of the Rule of Law Field Force—Afghanistan.
During his career in the Army, Charlie also completed numerous Army courses to include the Army’s premier leadership course—Ranger School—as well as the rigorous Sapper Leader Course (Advanced Engineer Leadership Course), Special Forces Assessment and Selection, along with numerous others such as Airborne, Military Free Fall (HALO), Pathfinder, and Air Assault. Charlie has a BS with honors from West Point, a PG Diploma from London School of Economics and a master’s degree from King’s College London. He is a Marshall Scholar, a Truman Scholar, and a lifetime member of the academic honor society Phi Kappa Phi.

Wendy is dedicated to the TVA mission, often pinch-hitting for the Program Coordinator.
She has extensive experience in the non-profit sector, as well as, office administration.
Wendy has spent many hours volunteering for charities including The American Cancer Society. She has a team spirit and a passion for helping people which makes her a great gift to TVA.
Jamie is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and served in Germany, Kuwait, and Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. She holds an MIS in Information Systems and MBA in Business from the University of Phoenix, and lives in Southern California with her husband and two children.
Jamie has over 18 years of technology, business systems development, and quality engineering experience in both the military and medical device manufacturing industries.
Jamie started her career in technology in the Marine Corps as a Tactical Network specialist and Small Computer Systems Specialist. During which she was responsible for installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of stand-alone and client- server information systems. Jamie managed the Marine Corps Tactical System Support communications center comprised of 30+ military and civilian employees with increasing levels of responsibility. Jamie, an expert in her field, was selected to deploy with a small detachment to travel between forward operating bases during OIF. Her role was to support Senior Leaders in their initial system installation of new communications technology during live combat operations.
After her active duty service, Jamie was hired by Guidant Corporation, now Abbott Vascular, which is a division of Abbott Laboratories. Her responsibilities have included Global Business Process Ownership for worldwide system applications, Global System validation and upgrades, Quality Engineering in support of 5 medical device products, Six Sigma and CAPA certifications, and 10+ years in an FDA controlled environment.
Jamie is currently an Associate Business Systems Consultant working in the Business Relationship realm. She is referred to as the subject matter expert on several of the global IT systems. She provides expert advice during selection, design, justification, implementation, audits, and business use of the information systems.
Jamie is a trusted advocate in the organizations she supports. She has spent many hours volunteering for nonprofit organizations. Currently, she is the Treasurer for her sons’ school PTA organization, as well as the Co-Chair treasurer for Women Leaders in Action at work. She looks forward to being able to contribute to the Veterans Asset organization helping her brothers and sisters make their transition from military to technology positions in the civilian sector.
